I Saw You Coming was inspired by the 2007 BBC comedy show Harry & Paul in which Harry Enfield plays the cynical proprietor of a Notting Hill antiques shop. His typical customer is a wealthy but foolish woman who will easily be talked into buying any old crap for a ridiculous price: having done the deal, he happily explains, "Well, I saw you coming, didn't I!".
